Description:	Part of the California Pioneer Heritage Foundation, SNMP is a large group of living history reenactors that are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Most SNMP members live somewhere near the greater Sacramento area and surrounding counties, although there are volunteers that travel from as far away as Seattle and Los Angeles to attend some events. The group is dedicated to preserving the memory of Mormon pioneers in this area before, during and after the gold rush, circa 1846-1857.
